At the Entrepreneurs Conference 2009, the Easton Program sponsored a Sales Workshop featuring speaker Kate Pletcher. The workshop was on the topic "Sales Techniques: Tips & Tricks on Selling Yourself & Your Product".
Kate Pletcher owns a staffing & recruiting firm called Mom Corps, focusing on matching progressive employers with high caliber flexible talent. She has over a decade of sales and business development experience across a number of industries including advertising, consumer products, publishing, and entertainment. In her most recent role, she served as Director of Global Brand Licensing for Skechers USA, sourcing and managing licensing programs on behalf of the $2 billion brand around the world. Kate serves on the Advisory Board of SPARK, provides sales workshops for a number of individuals and institutions, and is an active member of a number of Los Angeles community organizations. She received her BA in Journalism from the University of Wisconsin and her MBA from UCLA Anderson. She lives in Venice, CA with her husband Erik and dog Kirby.
The Entrepreneurs Conference is the capstone event for the Entrepreneur Association. This is a full day of learning, discussion, and networking with today's brightest entrepreneurs. Each year, we welcome a sold-out audience of students, alumni, entrepreneurs and business executives to gain valuable insight on critical business skills and emerging opportunities.
