EASTON CO-SPONSORED THE PRODUCTION AND OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT SOCIETY CONFERENCE FOR TWO CONSECUTIVE YEARS
The ETLP co-sponsored the 23rd POMS Conference held in Chicago, April 20-23, 2012, and the 24th POMS Conference held in Denver, May 3-6, 2013. POMS is a global professional network that brings together professionals around the world to represent their interests and passions. UCLA Anderson Professors Chris Tang and Kumar Rajaram were part of the POMS Planning Committee.

The ETLP supported AMR team No. 28 in their project with FINCA Peru—a company that provides agricultural technologies and appropriate financing mechanisms to small farmers in rural Peru. The ETLP also supported BCO team No. 14 in their venture to provide consulting services to students interested in applying to graduate schools in the United States. The team offered these services through a website, both in English and Chinese.
DESIGN FOR AMERICA, A NEW ANDERSON STUDENT CLUB
DFA is a U.S.-wide network of studios—centers where interdisciplinary student teams, advisors, professionals and community members come together to make an impact in areas such as education, health, economy and environment through the use of design. The ETLP supported DFA’s launch on campus. The Anderson studio will join an existing network that includes Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Northwestern, Brown, Stanford, Yale, Berkeley and several other institutions.
THE 2013 INDIA CONFERENCE
On April 10, 2013, the ETLP co-sponsored and participated in the 2013 India Conference organized by the South Asian Business Association and the Center for Global Management. The conference addressed the potential opportunities, key drivers and challenges associated with investing in the Indian subcontinent.
THE SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA EDISON CASE COMPETITION
On February 8, 2013, the ETLP co-sponsored the Southern California Edison Case Competition organized by the Energy Management Group and sponsored by Southern California Edison. Vandana Mangal, Ph.D., executive director of ETLP, served as a judge.
