At UCLA Anderson, management education is taught on a global scale. Partnering with Johnson & Johnson, and in cooperation with the African Medical and Research Foundation, UCLA Anderson faculty travel to Nairobi, Kenya to enhance the leadership capability of managers of HIV treatment organizations. Participants are exposed to various management tools to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of services provided to HIV/AIDS patients.
"Specific management skills and organizational techniques are necessary to broaden the scale of programs that address the enormous health and social challenges caused by the AIDS epidemic," says Victor Tabbush, Faculty Director of the Johnson & Johnson/UCLA HIV/AIDS Management Development Institute."Building management capacity--and helping these organizations achieve financial sustainability--is UCLA Anderson's contribution in this crucial area."
