What is the Anderson Fund?
The Anderson Fund is a vital source of unrestricted funding that creates opportunities for the dean to provide much needed resources to areas not covered by the current budget, including student support, faculty recruitment and retention, program improvements, and alumni initiatives. An unrestricted gift is the most flexible kind of support that can be used in a timely way to meet UCLA Anderson's greatest needs.

UCLA Anderson is part of a public university, so why is private funding necessary?
While we are a state school, UCLA Anderson receives no state funding for any of its 5 MBA programs or its MFE program. Private support from alumni, parents and friends is more important now than ever to secure UCLA Anderson's place among the best management schools worldwide. Why is alumni participation so crucial?
Alumni participation helps UCLA Anderson secure large grants from corporations and foundations. Grant-awarding corporations and foundations consider the percentage of alumni who give as an indicator of satisfaction with the school. All Anderson donors -- no matter the size of their gift -- enrich life at UCLA Anderson. Smaller gifts add up significantly, allowing our school to take advantage of opportunities as they arise.

By supporting Anderson with a gift, alumni help current and future students achieve a world-class education. Gifts from alumni are a vote of confidence in UCLA Anderson, and strengthen our school's stature. Every gift makes a difference!

What do gifts to the Anderson Fund support?
All Anderson Fund gifts combine to make a vital difference across our campus and beyond. Some examples include:

  • Attracting and retaining students.
  • Supporting faculty research and teaching.
  • Expanding and enhancing a thought-provoking curriculum.
  • Improving alumni events.

What calendar does Anderson use to recognize gifts?
UCLA Anderson's fiscal year begins July 1 and ends June 30.

This is my reunion year. Where should I direct my reunion gift?
If you are celebrating your class reunion this year, your Reunion Class Gift will count towards the alumni participation rate. You can make a gift to your reunion campaign by selecting "The Anderson Fund" in the "Gift Designation" drop-down menu on the online giving application. The Anderson Fund is the featured giving opportunity for all reunion campaigns. You may also choose to designate your gift to any center or program at UCLA Anderson.

What is UCLA Anderson's federal tax ID number?
95-225-0801

How can I find out if my company will match my gift to UCLA Anderson?
Many companies match employee gifts up to a certain limit per year. To find out if your company is among those participating in a gift-matching program, consult the online database of matching companies (also found within our online giving application). You can also ask your human resources department for information about your company's gift-matching policy.
