Rakesh Sarin Named Editor-in-Chief of Decision Analysis
Decision Analysis is INFORMS' newest peer-reviewed journal
LOS ANGELES -- Rakesh Sarin, Paine Chair in Management, has been named the next Editor-in-Chief of Decision Analysis, a publication of INFORMS. His term will be January 1, 2013 through December 31, 2015.
Decision Analysis is INFORMS' newest peer-reviewed journal dedicated to advancing the theory, application, and teaching of all aspects of decision analysis. The primary focus of this journal is to develop and study operational decision-making methods. The journal bridges the gap between theory and practice and facilitates active communication and exchange of knowledge among decision analysts in academia, business, industry and government.
"I feel honored to have this opportunity to improve the visibility of Decision Analysis," said Professor Sarin. "My goals are twofold: to enlarge the community of scholars who contribute to the journal while maintaining their high quality of scholarship and to spread the message of scientific decision making to the educated public."
