Doctoral Graduates Take First Academic and Industry Assignments
LOS ANGELES, Aug. 11, 2004 — UCLA Anderson School of Management has announced the graduation of 13 doctoral students, who have joined the ranks of academia and industry. Ten doctoral graduates of the class of 2004 have accepted tenure-track positions at educational institutions around the world, while two have decided to pursue research careers in industry and one is continuing scholarly endeavors by pursuing post-doctoral research.
The Doctoral Program in Management at UCLA Anderson is a research-oriented program leading to the Doctor of Philosophy degree. The program's primary focus is on independent inquiry, research methodology and publication of research results. The primary goal of the program is to prepare students for research and teaching careers at leading academic institutions and for research careers in industry.
