With our Dos Equis parody, Team "Polished by Diamonds" sought to illustrate the extraordinary potential that an MBA from UCLA Anderson unlocks, through the awe-inspiring life of the Most Interesting MBA in the World.

///About The Team

Anastasia ali FEMBA '14 - As the producer and director of Polished by Diamonds’ “Most Interesting MBA in the World” ad, Anastasia Ali had the privilege of working with eight of UCLA Anderson’s most interesting MBAs. During the day, the Brown University honors graduate works as a television and web producer. Her company, HazraH Entertainment, produced the web series, Buppies,for BET.com which garnered over five million views and the sitcom, Love That Girl, for TV One, the network’s highest-rated show. But when the sun sets, she’s a dedicated first-year FEMBA at UCLA Anderson, participating in the KNAPP business plan competition, the Entertainment Management Association and the Entrepreneur Association. During her rare spare time, she mines for undiscovered Anderson talent, forgives herself for watching reality television, and plans what will be her fabulous wedding.  She looks forward to leading her big team to an even bigger win.

melissa astete FEMBA '14 - Born and raised in Los Angeles. She received her bachelor’s from USC in Business Administration and was a pole vaulter on the school’s Track and Field Team. She is pursuing her MBA to strengthen her understanding of marketing and entrepreneurship, having worked at a start-up CPG dog food company for the past six years. As the Product Manager at DOGSWELL, she is primarily responsible for bringing new products to market and maintaining existing product lines. Her pug, Lucy, goes to work with her and is responsible for taste testing and giving final approval on all new launches. Melissa’s favorite things include boba, French macarons, scarves, movies, and up and coming bands. She is delighted to be at Anderson as it truly is the most interesting MBA program in the world!

ryan gutterson FEMBA '14 - Ryan Gutterson is a Double Bruin, returning to UCLA following a B.A. in Psychology and an M.S. in Counseling-Behavior Analysis.  He spent eight years working with children with autism as a program developer, parent and staff trainer and behavioral consultant before making a switch into marketing with The Mission Control Group in March of 2012, though he continues to teach autism education to teachers and other education professionals at California State University, Los Angeles.  In his spare time, he is the FEMBA VP for the Marketing Association and a Panel Director for the California Clean Innovation Conference.  This is Ryan's second competition, following the Net Impact Charity Competition in January. He is also, “The Most Interesting MBA in the World.”

   

timothy hui FEMBA '14 - Timothy Hui graduated from UC Davis with a bachelors in Computer Science and Engineering.  He’s currently working at Cisco as a Project Manager within the Webex Division.  On the side, he started up a wedding photography and cinematography company catered for Bay Area couples.   For fun, he enjoys both watching and playing sports (although FEMBA has cut down his time a lot), photography, and traveling foreign countries.

khoa le FEMBA '14 - He graduated from Cal Poly Pomona, where he completed a double major in Computer Information Systems and Management and Human Resources at Cal Poly Pomona. While at Cal Poly Pomona, Khoa was actively involved with student life. He was the President of MISSA (Management Information Systems Student Association) and External Vice President of VSA (Vietnamese Student Association). Upon graduation, Khoa started his career at Deloitte and Touche, LLP as a consultant in the Enterprise Risk Services group, focusing on risk management. While at Deloitte, he earned his CISA certification. Khoa joined Mattel Inc. and is currently a Senior Auditor. At Mattel, Khoa uses his open communication and passion for people to break down the stereo type of auditors. In his free time, Khoa can be found on his motorcycle, in a yoga studio, or giving speeches to FEMBAs about upcoming events and Anderson family.

dianna moore FEMBA '14 - Dianna Moore served as casting director and actress in the making of Anderson's "Most Interesting MBA" commercial. Through this exciting experience, Dianna discovered her affinity for casting and hopes to continue to explore this new-found talent in the near future. Professionally, Dianna has worked for 15 years with The Boeing Company and currently leads Boeing's Risk Management process from her post within the Corporate Audit organization. In addition to Dianna's professional career, she has a passion for health and wellness. You can find her at the helm of lively indoor cycling classes on a weekly basis. She joined UCLA Anderson in 2011 and is a proud member of the FEMBA class of 2014.

dania shaheen FEMBA '14 - Dania Shaheen started her career with Deloitte in the AERS function after graduating UCSB with a bachelors in Business Economics and a minor in Accounting. She currently works with Edwards Lifesciences in the Financial Planning and Analysis division. When she is not working or studying she enjoys shopping, hiking, satire, and Dos Equis.

linda tran FEMBA '14 - Linda Tran works for Bank of the West in Risk Management for Commercial Lending as a Portfolio Officer and Senior Auditor. In this function, Linda interacts with an array of people both within and outside of the bank. As a bank auditor, Linda visits companies that the bank lends money to in order to evaluate the validity of the bank’s collateral.  Linda is a first year FEMBA, involved in FEMBA Council, Women’s Business Connect, and Asian Management Student Association.  Linda graduated in 2007 from UC Berkeley with a Bachelors in Economics.

rose zhu FEMBA '14 - Rose Zhu is a Mixed Signal and Analog Circuit Designer at Broadcom. She grew up in Hangzhou, China and moved to the U.S in 2003 to earn her Masters degree in Electrical Engineering at Texas A&M University. When she's not hiking Half Dome or backpacking Mount Whitney, she can be found enjoying the Southern California sunshine or taking care of her two neurotic cats.
