Blair Taylor '90At the full-time MBA Class of 2016 Orientation on September 16, Starbucks' EVP and Chief Community Office Blair Taylor '90 challenged the incoming class to make a fundamental investment to changing people's lives they progress in their careers. He reminded them that their generation is inheriting significant social issues and is a part of a global economy trending to outpace the U.S. economy. He urged these future business leaders to acknowledge this historical moment and seize the opportunity now to meet the needs of their generation. In sharing his personal journey, he spoke to the challenges and immense rewards he experienced from his years of leadership at IBM, PepsiCo, leading retail franchising company COI/IDC, and most recently as President and CEO of the Los Angeles Urban League.
