UCLA Anderson Rises in Recent Bloomberg Businessweek, The Economist & Financial Times Rankings
Student satisfaction with every aspect of their Anderson experience is of vital importance to UCLA Anderson. Various surveys from different publications use different metrics resulting in diverse rankings. The following is a list of several survey rankings reported over the past several months:
  • Bloomberg Businessweek Best Business Schools - November 2014 UCLA Anderson's MBA program is ranked 11, up from 18 in 2012. We rank 3 in the graduate poll (up from 21 in 2012), 16 in the corporate recruiter poll (up from 19), and 15 in intellectual capital (down from 5).
  • The Economist WhichMBA? - October 2014: UCLA Anderson Full-time MBA program ranked 11 in the U.S., up from 12 in 2013; ranked 13 globally, up from 18 in 2013.
  • Financial Times Global EMBA - October 2014: UCLA Anderson EMBA program ranked 9 in the U.S., up from 10 in 2013; ranked 41 globally, up from 42 in 2013.
  • Financial Times Global EMBA - October 2014: UCLA-NUS Global EMBA program for Asia Pacific ranked 4 globally, up from 5 in 2013.
Anderson Evenings Bring Students and Alumni Together in New York City and San Francisco

Anderson Evening NY Photo GalleryAs students made their way to various cities for day-on-the-job industry treks, alumni joined students and braved unusual weather conditions in both New York City and San Francisco to attend the first annual Anderson Evenings series. Presented by the Parker Career Management Center and Office of Alumni Relations, the events drew an audience of nearly 400 people combined. New York's Anderson Evening featured a fireside chat about financial markets with CEO of Moelis & Company's Ken Moelis and Dean Judy Olian at the New York Athletic Club on November 18. San Francisco's Anderson Evening spotlighted a conversation on technology moderated by Dean Olian with Tapjoy's Steve Wadsworth '88 and Google's Darren Pleasance '95. The event was hosted on November 20 at The Winery San Francisco, a winery, tasting room and event center owned by Bryan Kane '96. Alumni representing companies in attendance offered targeted networking opportunities for a broad spectrum of industries including consulting, energy, investment banking, investment management, net impact, sports and technology.

Qualcomm's Dr. Paul E. Jacobs Honored at the John Wooden Global Leadership Award Ceremony

JWGLA Highlights 2014On November 17, Dr. Paul E. Jacobs received the John Wooden Global Leadership Award for his exceptional leadership of telecommunications company Qualcomm, Inc. in tribute to the leadership ideals of John Wooden. In her introduction of the seventh recipient of the annual awards, Dean Judy Olian said "When he was leading the handset division of Qualcomm, Dr. Jacobs adopted the slogan, 'Lead through vision, not division.' He focused on what brought people together. That's a play right out of Coach's playbook." Proceeds from the evening funded three $25,000 fellowships awarded to Nicole áBeckett (FEMBA '15), Derek Herrera (EMBA '15) and Elizabeth Pratt (MBA/MPP '16) based on their exceptional leadership, academic merit and financial need. Highlights of the evening included a tribute to John Wooden by sports broadcaster Dick Enberg and videotaped remarks from legendary UCLA basketball player Bill Walton. Read more...
