INFORMS Student Union CAREER
CENTER
Welcome to the Career Center of the
INFORMS On-Line Student Union. We have geared the site toward students
and young professionals in Operations Research and the Management Sciences.
People in related fields will also find much of interest. Our aim is to
help you learn more about OR/MS and find the right school, job, or career
path. This site contains links to job postings, job placement services,
corporate profiles, academic institution profiles, career planning services,
and tips on finding the right job. It is organized as follows:
- Career Planning. This room of the Career Center
provides information about the profession of Operations Research and the
Management Sciences. It caters not only to those who are studying in the
field and trying to make career decisions, but also to those who know very
little about Operations Research and the Management Sciences (e.g., high
school students and college undergraduates).
- Job Hunting Skills. This room of the Career Center
provides resources to help you conduct your job search. We provide information
about using the Internet/WWW, interviewing skills, and resume writing.
- Job Listings. This room of the Career Center provides
key links to a variety of job searching web sites.
- Job Placement. This room of the Career Center
provides key links to a variety of job placement services.
- Organizational Profiles. This room of the Career
Center facilitates gathering information about companies and academic institutions
that have academic programs and professional or academic positions in Operations
Research and the Management Sciences.
- Related Societies. This room of the Career Center
provides links to the career planning and job search pages for societies
with a relationship to Operations Research and the Management Sciences.
These are all the societies on the INFORMS External Liaisons List that
have career-related resources.
This site is brought to you by INFORMS,
the flagship professional society for Operations Research and the Management
Sciences. Click here

The Career Center, originally built by Andy Armacost
and Jim Orlin, is now maintained by Deming
