INFORMS Doctoral Student Colloquia

Overview

The INFORMS Student Affairs Committee hosts an annual Doctoral Colloquium for Ph.D. students in operations research. The primary objective of the colloquium is to promote interaction between doctoral students and professionals in operations research and management science. Approximately ten professional participants make presentations and lead discussions on issues and technical areas related to academic and industrial careers in operations research and management science.

This Web site includes some of the presentations from the last five Colloquia. The presentations from leaders in the OR/MS community contain many gold nuggets of advice, often in a humorous fashion. Hopefully, you can share in some of their collective wisdom by perusing these materials.
