Preparing Global Leaders for a Rapidly Changing World

UCLA Anderson is a Pacific Rim management school. We address an ever-more complex world by advancing deep knowledge, and concentrating learning approaches and innovative research on issues that are central to the global agenda for management. Both faculty and students have interests and activities that span the globe, with an emphasis on:

1. Learning approaches and content that offer students, alumni and executives deep understanding of, and exposure to, the economic, institutional and cultural forces shaping global markets;
2. Thought leadership of UCLA Anderson faculty that advances and influences management practices across markets and cultures around the world; and
3. Connections among a diverse community of business, government, research and university partners, global leaders and management talent.

UCLA Anderson Global Strategy
With accelerating globalization of markets and institutions, a management school can only remain world class if it is engaged in a serious way with the larger world beyond the borders of the United States. As described in UCLA Anderson’s Strategic Plan, one of our key objectives is to ensure that students emerge from our educational programs with 'global brains' - an intuitive bias toward examining management, operational, and policy issues from every angle. Students also must become adept at functioning in countries that are entirely foreign in culture, language and comforts. Similarly, our faculty must continue to develop a world view by collaborating across national borders, teaching around the globe, and incorporating globalization into their research agendas and teaching content.
