Will Edwards covers the U.S. economy and Federal Reserve for Bloomberg News. A Georgetown University graduate, Edwards spent three years after college touring with a Washington-based rock band before starting his career as a freelance writer for CNN in 1996. Edwards joined Bloomberg in 1998 after graduating with a masters degree from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism. Hired as a general assignment reporter, Edwards moved on to coverage of food and tobacco companies in 1999, and joined the U.S. economy team in 2001. He has twice been a finalist for business reporting for the Society of Professional Journalists' Green Eyeshade Award. Edwards and his wife, Samantha, live in Atlanta and are expecting their first child in August.
