A graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Journalism, Tim McLaughlin has worked for several news organizations over the past 16 years, including the Concord Monitor, the Boston Herald, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Reuters and currently at the Boston Business Journal.
Career highlights include: a 10,000-word profile of a Vietnam Veteran who blamed war flashbacks for killing three law officers and a sheriff's wife in a small Missouri town; the first interview with Kansas City serial killer Bob Berdella; and a series of stories that unearthed evidence of stock-options backdating by executives at a St. Louis-based defense contractor who now await criminal trial in federal court.
McLaughlin lives in the Boston area with his wife, Karen, and their 6-year-old daughter, Emma.
