Ted Mellnik is database editor at The Charlotte Observer, where he’s worked 25 years. He obtains and analyzes data for stories, graphics and online applications, and coaches reporters and editors in computer-assisted reporting techniques. He is a journalism graduate of UNC Chapel Hill.
