Ted Gregory

Ted Gregory is a general assignment reporter at the Chicago Tribune, where he has worked since 1991. Prior to that, he worked as a reporter at the Daily Herald of Arlington Heights, Ill., and the Winona (MN.) Daily News. He contributed to the Tribune’s Pulitzer Prize winning “Gateway to Gridlock” project in 2001 and worked as the lead reporter on the Tribune’s 2006 project, “Teens at the Wheel,” a yearlong examination of teen driving that led to sweeping changes in Illinois’ teen driving laws. Prior to joining the Tribune, he twice won annual feature writing awards from the Society of Professional Journalists’ Chicago chapter. He is a graduate of Eastern Illinois University, where he served as editor in chief of the Daily Eastern News.
