Scott Pelley started his career in journalism at the age of 15 as a copyboy at the Lubbock Avalanche Journal. While a student in Texas Tech's journalism school, Scott began working in television at Lubbock's Channel 28. Scott has been a CBS News correspondent for 20 years and a correspondent for 60 Minutes for the last 10. He's covered wars, presidents and most everything in between. Along the way he has been grateful to receive honors including Emmy awards and two John Foster Peabody Awards. Through it all Scott's work has been rooted in his upbringing in Lubbock and his education.
