Scott Finn, 31, was raised in Iowa and graduated from Harvard University. In 2001, he received a master's degree in journalism from the University of Missouri, then joined the Gazette as a county government reporter and most recently as the newspaper's business writer. Last year, he shared a national award for Gazette disclosures about cruelty suffered by gay teens in West Virginia schools. Previously, his articles about ethics problems in the West Virginia Legislature won a national award from Investigative Reporters and Editors.
