Phil Serafino runs the Bloomberg News team that covers U.S. investment banks, accounting and the Securities and Exchange Commission. He joined Bloomberg in 1997 as a stock market reporter. Serafino graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst with a bachelor's degree in journalism in 1987. He previously worked at United Press International, The Sun in Lowell, Mass., and Knight-Ridder Financial News. Serafino and his wife, Linda, live in Brooklyn, N.Y.
