Neil Roland covers securities regulation and legislation for Bloomberg News' Washington bureau. He has been with Bloomberg for 10 years, having been the company's Miami bureau chief in the early 1990s. Previously, he was an investigative reporter for the Miami Herald, United Press International's Washington bureau, and Army Times. He has won awards from the National Press Club, Society of American Business Editors and Writers, the American Medical Writers Association, the New York State Bar Association and the Florida Press Club. He has a Masters degree from Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government.
