Megan Barnett is an associate editor in the Money and Business section of U.S.News & World Report.

Prior to joining the business desk, she was an investigative reporter for the magazine for almost two years.

Before coming to U.S. News, Barnett covered personal finance and investment banking for The Industry Standard, a now-defunct weekly business magazine for the Internet industry.

She worked in equity research for a boutique investment firm in San Francisco before becoming a journalist.

Barnett is a graduate of the University of Virginia.
