Liz Skinner is an energy policy reporter based in Washington, D.C. for Bloomberg News. She covers regulations and law changes that affect the electricity, natural gas and oil markets, including gasoline prices that rise due to environmental rules. She previously covered securities policy issues for Bloomberg. Prior to reporting for Bloomberg News, she was a business reporter covering Maryland technology companies at The Daily Record newspaper, a Baltimore-based business and legal daily. Before the Daily Record, she covered technology business issues for Washington Technology and worked as an environmental business reporter and editor for Greenwire, also in the Washington, D.C. region. Skinner holds a Master of Arts in Environmental Policy and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Communications with minors in Journalism and Statistics, all from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. She is also a member of the National Press Club and Society of American Business Editors and Writers. She has two young daughters.
