Kelly Sutherland has been a producer at Dateline NBC since 1993.

She received two Edward R. Murrow awards in 1997, one for Best News Series and one for Investigative Reporting. She also received two awards at the Gold Medal New York Festival, for Best Investigative Report in 1997 and Investigative Reporting in 1998.

Sutherland graduated from New York University in 1983 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Film and Television, and in 1990, she received her Master of Arts degree in Journalism also from New York University.
