Justine Schiro has made her career at ABC News. Schiro has been a producer for World News Tonight with Peter Jennings since 2000. She covers business, science, medicine and politics. She also produces features and breaking news. Schiro was a member of a 15-person editorial team which planned ABC News’ all-day coverage of the first September 11th anniversary.
Schiro has worked her way up through the ranks at World News Tonight. Prior to being a producer, she was an associate producer on the “Closer Look” segments. Before that she worked as a researcher, production associate and desk assistant.
Schiro was a member of the ABC News team recognized with the 2001 Peabody Award for the network’s coverage of the events of September 11th. She is also the recipient of two Emmy awards and a DuPont award.
Schiro graduated from Columbia University.
