June Arney

June Arney is a business reporter at The (Baltimore) Sun. She is a 2007 Pulitzer Prize finalist for an investigative series on Baltimore's ground rent system. The series also won an IRE award. Previously, she was a staff writer at The Virginian-Pilot in Norfolk, Va. where she covered police, courts and juvenile justice and won a variety of state, regional and national journalism awards for investigative reporting and enterprise journalism. Arney was a 1995 Casey Journalism Center Fellow. She is a graduate of Bates College with a degree in philosophy and holds a master's degree in journalism from the University of Missouri.
