Jon Kamp has been with Dow Jones Newswires for more than eight years,
most recently as a reporter covering medical technology companies,
where his coverage has included safety problems in the global market
for drug-coated stent heart devices, the Boston Scientific and
Johnson & Johnson battle to acquire Guidant Corp., and many other
issues.
He served for two years as deputy bureau chief in Chicago, where he
helped with coverage and editing on a host of other beats in addition
to his reporting duties, and also spent six years as an energy
reporter, where he covered issues ranging from energy market fallout
related to the Enron collapse to the northeast U.S. blackout in 2003.
Jon has a master's degree from the Medill School of Journalism at
Northwestern University, and a bachelor's degree in English from
Clark University.
Jon and his wife Kristen currently live in the Boston area. He is a
native of Long Island, New York.
