Jake Batsell, retail reporter for The Seattle Times from 2001 to 2004, is now a journalism instructor at the University of North Texas. He previously worked as a general assignment reporter for The Times’ Business, Metro and Features desks from 1997 to 1999. Batsell received a master’s degree in government in 2001 from the University of Texas at Austin. He graduated from Arizona State University in 1996 with a bachelor’s degree in journalism.
