Hellmuth Tromm is Bloomberg News's bureau chief in Munich, home to companies ranging from Allianz AG, Europe's largest insurer, to Siemens AG, Germany's biggest electronics and engineering company. A graduate of the German Journalists School, Tromm earned Masters Degrees in Economics and Political Economy at the Free University of Berlin and the London School of Economics before joining Bloomberg News in 1997 to cover the European Central Bank and the German economy in Frankfurt. Hellmuth and his wife, Susanna, have one son, Philipp, who was born in April.
