Before joining The New York Times, Ms. Hager worked for CNN en Español, New York Times Television, and ScienCentral, Inc. She received her M.A. in science journalism at New York University and her B.A. at Wesleyan University. Ms. Hager is originally from Connecticut and has lived in Belgium and Oaxaca, Mexico.
