Edward Taylor has worked as pan-European banking reporter for all three editions of The Wall Street Journal: U.S., Europe and Asia since summer 2004. Based in Frankfurt, Germany he has focused on the transformation of the wealth management industry, consolidation of stock exchanges and on pan-European banking consolidation. He has focused on institutions based in Germany and Switzerland including Credit Suisse Group, UBS AG, and Deutsche Bank AG , Deutsche Boerse AG and Netherlands-based ABN Amro Holding NV.
Mr. Taylor joined The Wall Street Journal Europe in 1999 as a news assistant in Brussels before moving to Dow Jones Newswires in Frankfurt, where he was responsible for covering stock exchanges, consumer goods, media, software, mergers and acquisitions and IPOs in Germany. Prior to joining The Wall Street Journal Europe, he served as a researcher on the BBC's Panorama programme and freelanced for several U.K. newspapers.
Born in Hong Kong, he holds a bachelor's degree in journalism and a postgraduate diploma in journalism from the Centre For Journalism Studies at Cardiff University.
