Senior reporter Dawn Yoshitake-Kawamoto specializes in the financial side of the high-tech industry, focusing on such issues as mergers and corporate strategies. Dawn, who has covered business for 13 years, was News.com's first business department editor. Previously, she was a business reporter for the Los Angeles Daily News, Orange County Register and Santa Barbara News-Press. Among her awards was a citation for a report on the disparity in home loans among various ethnic groups and a six-day series on the evolution of Santa Barbara's main street. Dawn graduated from California Polytechnic State University with a bachelor's degree in journalism. She is a member of the Asian American Journalists Association, a 1994 Nevada Fellow and has provided guest commentary for CNNfn.
