David Scott is a producer in the ABC News Brian Ross Investigative Unit.  He joined ABC News in 1996 following a career in New York City government and in documentary film.

He has produced numerous network news reports ranging from investigations of corruption in American law enforcement to fraud in the pharmaceutical industry.  His recent works of journalism have focused on international terrorism.  He has been recognized with several awards for outstanding journalism including a 2002 Emmy for post-September 11th coverage.
