Hedgpeth came to the Post in 1999 as a Metro reporter. She worked in the Loudoun County bureau where I covered a range of topics from development, local business and government. In 2000, she joined the business staff where she has covered such things as the hotel industry, economic development and commercial real estate. Hedgpeth now covers government contracting. Before coming to the Post, she worked at the Baltimore Sun as a metro reporter for nearly four years where she covered local government, development, schools and other topics.
