Christopher Oster is an Atlanta-based staff reporter for The Wall Street Journal. His supervisor is Robert Sabat.

Mr. Oster started his career at The Daily Yomiuri, where he worked as a staff writer from 1991 to 1995. He joined Dow Jones & Company and worked as a staff reporter for Dow Jones Newswires from 1995 to 1997, when he joined SmartMoney magazine as a senior writer. In 2000, Mr. Oster joined the Journal as a staff reporter.

Raised in Topeka, Kansas, Mr. Oster received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas. He and his wife, Natalia, have two sons, Peter and Nikolas.
