Christina Gostomski

Christina Gostomski has covered state politics in Harrisburg for The Morning Call since 2004. Before coming to Harrisburg, she was the paper’s higher education reporter for two years, covering state and national education trends as well as 11 colleges and universities in the paper’s eight county coverage area. She came to The Morning Call in 2000 as a features reporter, covering family and lifestyle issues.

Prior to joining The Morning Call, she was a Sunday Special Projects reporter for The York Dispatch and Sunday News in York, Pa., where she worked from 1994 to 2000. While there, she also worked as an environmental reporter, education writer and county reporter covering Gettysburg and Gettysburg National Military Park. She broke several national stories about the park and its new museum.

The Pennsylvania Women’s Press Association has awarded her its highest honor, its Excellence in Journalism award, three times. She has received numerous awards from the Pennsylvania Press Association’s Keystone awards and her work on a special report on Arab-American communities following the 2001 terrorist attacks was a finalist for the Associated Press’s International Perspectives Award.
