Chris Vlasto is a Senior Investigative Producer whose work has appeared on ABC News shows World News Tonight with Peter Jennings, Nightline, and 20/20. Chris Vlasto is based in New York.
Mr. Vlasto has covered some of the biggest stories over the past ten years including the September 11th attack of the World Trade Center, the Florida Recount, the Lewinsky Scandal, Oklahoma Bombing, and the OJ Simpson Trial.
Most notably, on January 21, 1998, Vlasto produced the Jackie Judd report that first broadcast the allegations about President Clinton and the former White House Intern Monica Lewinsky. Vlasto also produced the Diane Sawyer interview with Ken Starr and the Barbara Walters interview with Monica Lewinksy.
Vlasto has won more than half dozen awards including the Edward R. Murrow award and the Joan Barone award for his coverage of President Clinton. Most recently, he received an Emmy award and a Sigma Delta Chi award for his coverage of the 9/11 terror attacks.
Vlasto joined ABC News in 1989.
