Brady Dennis

Brady Dennis came to The Washington Post in September 2008 to report on the financial crisis.

Dennis, 31, was author Bob Woodward's research assistant on The War Within: A Secret White House History, 2006-2008, the fourth volume of Woodward's Bush at War series. He worked for Woodward after seven years as a staff writer at the St. Petersburg Times, where he covered crime, courts and government, among other assignments.

He was the 2005 recipient of the Ernie Pyle Award for human interest writing. He was honored for a collection of eight stories that appeared as part of a St. Petersburg Times column called "300 Words," an occasional series that "presents glimpses of everyday life that often go unnoticed."
