Ariana Eunjung Cha is a national business correspondent for The Washington Post. Based in San Francisco, Cha focuses on technology and science news. Cha recently completed a one-year assignment covering the U.S.-led occupation of Iraq and its reconstruction efforts. Before that, she was a technology reporter covering AOL, Yahoo, eBay and other Internet companies. Her three-part series on Russian hackers won the Society of American Business Editors and Writers projects award. Cha began her journalism career as an intern at the Detroit Free Press and the San Jose Mercury News. She has also worked as an analyst for various Wall Street firms and for Andersen Consulting, now Accenture. Cha grew up in La Paz, Bolivia; Manila, Philippines; and Harare, Zimbabwe and is a graduate of Columbia University.
