Andrew Ward, Bloomberg News' Midwest economy reporter, covers the Federal Reserve and the U.S. economy from Chicago. Ward has been with Bloomberg for two years. The Northwestern University graduate began his journalism career with jobs at the Bond Buyer, the Providence Journal-Bulletin and the Wall Street Journal after serving in the U.S. Army. The Leitchfield, Kentucky-native and his partner, Peter Balis, live Chicago. He is a member of the National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association and the Chicago Headline Club.
