Abhay Singh covers India's technology and telecommunications industries from Bloomberg News' New Delhi bureau. An economics graduate from Delhi University, Singh worked for a year at India's Dataquest magazine before joining Bloomberg in Nov. 1999. In his four years at Bloomberg News, Singh has covered the hijacking of an Indian Airlines aircraft to Afghanistan, a terrorist attack on India's Parliament and tensions between India and Pakistan apart from writing on business. He has written on technology outsourcing for Bloomberg Markets magazine and appeared on Bloomberg TV and radio on issues such as the transfer of U.S. technology jobs to India. Singh and his wife, Rishika, have a son, Jaivir, and live in Noida, India.
