Position Responsibilities

External Representative

The external representative works with career services and the alumni network to ensure that their section is aware of the resources and events offered by ProMBA Career Services and the Office of Alumni Services. The external representative attends ProMBA Career Services Committee meetings and FEMBA Alumni Relations and Development Committee meetings, represents the FEMBA student body at alumni events and participates in the annual Anderson Affiliates campaign. The external representative should send out at least one section email per month with information on upcoming career services events and deadlines.

Internal Representative

The internal representative handles most of their section’s academic and logistical issues, which may include resolving section scheduling conflicts, communicating student concerns to faculty and administration and keeping the section informed of new developments on campus. The internal representative should send out at least one section email per month with information on upcoming events and deadlines.

Social Representative

The social representative plans social and networking events, including after-class happy hours, section lunches/dinners, cultural outings, athletic events and other activities that his or her section is interested in. The social representative should make every effort to ensure that these events appeal to all of their FEMBA peers and is highly encouraged to collaborate with social representatives from other sections and years. The social representative is required to learn and follow the expense reimbursement policy in order to plan the use of their section’s annual social budget. The social representative should send out regular emails with information on upcoming activities.


Section 1

Gary Lai

Gary Lai was born in Hong Kong and raised in Vancouver, Canada, before moving to Southern California for college.  He graduated from the University of Southern California's Viterbi School of Engineering with M.S. and B.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering.  After graduation, he joined Aptina Imaging, a spin-off of Micron Technology's camera business unit, as a Senior Field Applications Engineer responsible for integrating cameras into mobile phones and tablets, acting as the interface between the engineering team and the customers, and managing various camera integration projects. He is an avid ice hockey fan and loves photography.  In his spare time, he enjoys watching basketball and college football, playing basketball, snowboarding, hiking, exploring new restaurants, traveling, singing karaoke, and spending time with family and friends.  Gary also serves on the board of Anderson's Asian Management Students Association (AMSA) as the VP of Marketing and is on the Student Council for the Easton Technology Leadership Program.

Tracey Le

Tracey received her B.A. in Economics from Brandeis University in Waltham, MA. After graduation, she moved back to Southern California and worked in the Business Valuations Practice at KPMG LLP in LA. After KPMG, she was a Project Manager at 24 Hour Fitness, Inc. and most recently was a Finance Consultant at Resources Global Professionals, a global management services firm.

At Anderson, Tracey is pursuing her MBA with a focus on Marketing. She has served as External Representative for the past two years. In addition to FEMBA Council, Tracey is the VP of FEMBA Relations for the Sports Business Association, 2nd Year Director for the Marketing Association, and member in the Women's Business Connection and Entertainment Management Association.

Tracey is an avid sports fan. She is thrilled to finally have a college football and basketball team in Division 1 to root for. Go Bruins! In her spare time, she enjoys practicing yoga, watching sports, hiking, tennis, traveling, music, and spending time with family and friends.

Skanda Ramesh

Skanda hails from Sakleshpur, India where he grew up in a coffee plantation. After completing his Bachelors of Engineering in Information Science from Bangalore, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue a Master's degree. In LA if he was not found working on the startup Convocast, Inc. then he probably was beach bumming, satisfying his palate and discovering new places to hangout. After graduating he moved to Santa Barbara to work for Yardi Systems Inc., an Asset and Property Management software company. At Yardi he is the Technical Lead for Special Projects and has led and developed several key initiatives in the real estate software market. Currently he works on Yardi's Procure to Pay product targeting residential and commercial real estate companies.  He is also actively involved in mobile development and in particular iOS based apps. At Anderson he wishes to explore opportunities in consulting and entrepreneurship. Currently he is a partner at datafluency.com which focuses primarily on building software applications and platforms around data to help its clients make better sense of data and access it through an easy to use user interface. He has also participated in AIG's global Rugby Innovation challenge where his team's app was listed among the top 25 in the world. He is currently involved in another startup Globe.ly which is in its infancy and has the potential of making a big impact in the travel segment.

He likes to golf and snowboard. Watches a lot of football, gets upset when the Lakers lose, and occasionally plays beach volleyball. He sometimes drives aimlessly and tries to discover new places to eat and hangout. 


Section 2

Kathi Chandler-Payatt

Kathi Chandler-Payatt specializes in product and distribution strategy for media and entertainment providers across online, over-the-top and mobile channels. Self-employed for the past year, she developed competitive strategy for SaaS start-ups, and social media as well as device strategy for a major gaming client of interactive agency, The Famous Group. Previously, she worked for 3 years as an Associate at Priority Digital Media Consulting, a firm that services major networks and corporations' strategy and business development needs in the over-the-top and online space. Clients included: Qualcomm, Alcatel-Lucent, AT&T, and iN DEMAND Networks.  Prior to her tenure at PDM, Kathi founded and managed an e-commerce site, AllyKatStyle.com--'Sass-essories for Kittens to Cougars', that was profiled in Entrepreneur magazine during its first year in business. Kathi lives in Redondo Beach with her husband, Jeffrey, their English Pointer and hairless cat. She loves rock shows of up-and-coming bands, listening to business books on Audible, craft cocktails, and all forms of technology.

Jorge Andre Das Neves

Jorge Andre das Neves is the managing partner and founder of Commercial Cartridge Company, an innovative recycler of high quality inkjet cartridges for the addressing, mailing and coding industries. Jorge graduated from the Universidade Metodista de São Paulo with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Foreign Trade. After spending some years in the banking industry working for Banco Itaú, Jorge joined TB Acessórios as the International Business Manager. In 2009, he was promoted to Managing Director and transferred to TB Acessórios' North America subsidiary. When not working or studying (a quite rare occasion these days), Jorge loves exploring ethnic restaurants in LA, spending time on the Orange County beautiful beaches, or improving on his snowboarding skills in Big Bear Lake. 


Section 3

Vibhore Bhaskar

Vibhore Bhaskar received his B.A. in Business Administration at UC Riverside.  After graduation, Vibhore joined Wells Fargo in their Private Client Services division. After a few years, he joined City National in their Fixed Income Brokerage department.  Not known for idling, Vibhore is pursuing the CFA designation (Level 2 candidate). He has non-profit board leadership experience via Riordan Learning Institute and subsequent experience serving as board member for a few non-profits in the Los Angeles region, such as Los Angeles Junior Chamber of Commerce.

At Anderson, Vibhore is pursuing a specialization in Finance. He is the External Rep for his section. He has also been very active in participating in various case competitions.  He is a member of SOMA and IFA. When time permits, he is a huge fan of traveling and socializing with friends and family.

May Huang

May is the Financial Analyst at Paramount Farms, the world's largest grower and processor of almonds and pistachios. May graduated from UC Riverside with a B.S. in Business Administration.

May was actively involved with Team in Training in 2009, both as a mentor and as a participant, after several of her friends were diagnosed with cancer. She completed two marathons that year, LA Marathon and Nike Women's Marathon in San Francisco, and raised over $9,400 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. May was also the Social Chair for the LA chapter of a national non-profit organization, Taiwanese American Professionals, from 2011-2012.

At Anderson, May served as the FEMBAssador Welcome Committee co-chair in 2013 and was responsible for coordinating FEMBApalooza, the largest all FEMBA event of the year. She has served as Social Representative for the past two years.

The things in life that keep her happy life include spending time with friends, eating, sleeping, and laughing (lots of it)!


Section 4

Amber Jackson

Amber Jackson is currently the Manager of Financial Compliance for Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Group, where she is responsible for developing and implementing the company's regulatory and contract compliance programs. After successful experiences in several different industries from pharmaceuticals to public accounting, Amber found her way to her true passion, media and entertainment, and is leveraging the wealth of resources available at UCLA Anderson to further explore new opportunities within industry. She holds a B.S. in Technical Writing and Communications from Carnegie Mellon University.

In her spare time, Amber is an avid trivia buff and enjoys competing in pub trivia to prepare for her next Jeopardy! audition. She also enjoys hiking LA mountains, cooking, and is a proud Pittsburgh native. While the Pittsburgh Steelers will always be her first love, Amber is excited to finally have an NCAA Division I team to call her own and looks forward to adding her voice to the cheers of UCLA Bruins students and alumni for many years to come.

Chihiro Kurokawa

Chihiro has broadened his career experience thus far with a summer internship at an e-commerce startup called DailyLook, where he assisted the CEO with content creation initiatives. Chihiro has been a musician throughout most of his life and during college he performed across the country, winning a world championship in the drum and bugle corps activity. These days he focuses his musical talent on the guitar. He also loves playing pickup football games. Additionally, his vacation destinations and sometimes-questionable choices in dining establishments indicate a penchant for risk-taking.
