I went to the Owl because I heard he had THE ANSWER.

I found him at home, and it seemed to me that he, sitting silent in utmost concentration, must indeed have THE ANSWER.

"It is said," I spoke, "that you alone have THE ANSWER."

The Owl replied, "My friend, as much as is said of me is true."

And so I asked the Owl THE QUESTION.

He answered me carefully, and with infinite patience, "You must find out for yourself."

Thinking I had bein deceived, I spoke angrily:  "Did I need the Owl to tell me I must think for myself?"

"But, my friend," the Owl replied, "THAT IS THE ANSWER."
