Career Tracks

The finance faculty at UCLA Anderson is committed to providing students with a state of the art preparation for a career in finance. The course structure is designed to provide students with a strong theoretical basis before they tackle elective courses in particular areas of application.

Therefore there is one prerequisite for all finance courses, in addition to the required core course Management 408, Managerial Finance. The finance prerequisite course is Management 230, Theory of Finance. Note that course offerings are subject to change.

It is also suggested that students who are interested in portfolio management seek to be selected as managers of the Student Investment Fund which offers hands on experience in the management of a significant portfolio together with the opportunity to visit firms and investment managers.
