The Experience

This highly experiential five-day program, conducted in partnership with the Society for Human Resource Management, delivers the latest evidence-based concepts that drive global HR leadership development. The program director, Professor David Lewin, leads many of the sessions himself. Professor Lewin continues to pioneer concepts and tools that are transforming HR into an engine for bottom line results within the forward-looking enterprise.

The Birkman Method, a comprehensive personality assessment tool, will clarify your management and problem-solving strengths so you can hone your leadership edge. You will learn how to leverage your personal leadership style in the context of your organization's business culture and to better negotiate with and motivate talent.

Exploring change management at the individual, team and enterprise levels, classroom discussions will draw on cases and research from psychology and organizational theory. You will expand your flexibility and capacity for innovation in exercises adapted from improv theatre that are designed to enhance your skills managing in chaotic, hypercompetitive and rapidly changing business environments.

With guidance from faculty, you will work individually and in teams to identify your firm's leadership aspirations, strengths and weaknesses to create short- and long-term plans for leadership development. This leadership map may include solutions to formulate your optimal senior executive team, enhance your firm's leadership culture, create a game plan for new HR initiatives or cement succession plans. You will also create a personal leadership map for your own career development.

While you learn, our team takes care of all the details through the week so you can focus all your attention on the vital material being presented and how you are applying it.

You will return to work with proven frameworks for aligning HR strategy to business strategy, a toolbox of innovative and immediately applicable HR practices, and a keen understanding of how to claim your place as an integral part of your organization's senior leadership team.
