Michael Poyker is a 5th year PhD student at the Global Economics and Management Department of the UCLA Anderson School of Management. His research interests focus primarily on Economics of Inequality, Coercion and Culture. His current research looks at private prison industry in the US, and patterns of women's rights, health practices, and education in the Middle East and Africa. Michael's current affiliation is with the UCLA Anderson School of Management, where he works as a Teaching and Research Assistant. He is also AALIMS and CCPR affiliate.
