Domestic Students

January-September

• Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is available.

April

• Electronic provisional award letters (e-PAL) will be sent to domestic students who completed the FAFSA.

May-July

• Submit additional documents as needed.
• Start comparing federal student loans and private educational loans. 

August

• Electronic Financial Aid Notifications (e-FANs) sent
• Students review their e-FAN.
• Students accept or decline aid and complete the loan application process.
• Sign your Master Promissory Note (MPN) at www.studentloans.gov.
• Debt Management/Entrance Interview required for first time borrowers.

 September

• All financial aid recipients must sign up for Bruin Direct.
