Below are the syllabi for your fall quarter core courses. Please review the syllabi to learn about your faculty, required textbooks, and course requirements. You can purchase textbooks online now if you'd like, or wait until you're on campus to purchase them from the UCLA bookstore. Some of the courses may have reading assignments that you need to prepare for the first day of class, so please read carefully.
1) MGMT 402: Data and Decisions
Professor Mamer (Sections C & D)
Professor Long (Sections A & B)
Professor Sarin (Section E)
2) MGMT 403: Financial Accounting
Professor Friedman (Sections A, B & C)
Professor Sridharan (Sections D & E)
Accounting Assignment: Your accounting course has some special required preparation. The professors have posted material to the course website for you to begin working on. This is not merely suggested or optional; your accounting faculty expect you to review this and prepare the case by the first day of class on September 26. However, since the Orientation period is incredibly busy, we recommend that you complete it before Orientation starts September 9th. You will find the assignment here: https://ccle.ucla.edu/course/view/AcctPrep2015 The enrollment key is "Anderson".
3) MGMT 405: Managerial Economics
Professor Wacziarg (Sections A, D &E)
Professor Bursztyn (Sections B &C)
A note from your Economics professors: Students need to purchase the textbook and access to MyEconLab before the first day of class on Sept. 26. Students should familiarize themselves with MyEconLab, and read the assigned readings before the first class, as the class will proceed at a fast pace. The best option for the students among those outlined on the syllabus is the $100 option to buy access to MyEconLab plus the eBook version of the textbook. This provides access to all of the course materials.
6) MGMT 421A: Management Communications
Professor Ullmen (Sections 6, 7 & 8)
Professor McCann (Sections 9 & 10)
