Enhancing the Learning Experience
At UCLA Anderson, we don't just talk about diversity, it is a vital part of our mission. We believe that diversity -- whether of backgrounds, gender, cultures or ideas -- is what creates a vibrant and inclusive community.
Learning how to lead and contribute within diverse teams is key to every student's MBA experience. We rely on our students to share their voices from different perspectives and also listen to others to broaden their own thinking. Geographic, ethnic, industry and military backgrounds are examples of the kind of variety in our campus' Clubs and Associations, and our community as a whole is strengthened by the unity of purpose that transcends all old boundaries.
We feature several diversity programs and events on campus:
Women in the MBA at UCLA Anderson addresses important issues affecting women in business in a highly interactive setting where you can speak with and hear from admissions officers, faculty members, female alumni, and female students. Co-hosted by UCLA Anderson's Women's Business Connection club (WBC), this event is open for all to attend. Register now to come join us on Nov. 14!
We recognize the value in having a student body that is truly representative of the business world. Our goal is to create a community where our students are enriched by the distinctive viewpoints that their classmates can contribute. Embracing Diversity will provide you with the oportunity to meet with UCLA Anderson current students and alumni, learn what makes our MBA Programs a top choice for students, and walk away with a clearer picture of what your MBA future can look like. This event is open to individuals interested in either the full-time or FEMBA programs. Please see the Embracing Diversity site to learn more.
Our welcoming culture is a natural place for lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans-gender students to thrive. LGBT prospective students can experience this for themselves on our preview day which is co-hosted by our student Out @ Anderson club. Through lunch, class visits, resource briefings and an interviewing workshop, you can see yourself becoming part of the stimulating community that is UCLA Anderson. Register now to come visit us early in the new year.
Riordan Fellows Program
The Riordan Fellows Program educates, prepares, and motivates college students and recent graduates to apply to and succeed in a top MBA program. Fellows attend eight monthly Saturday sessions and have an opportunity to interact with an MBA admissions representative who provides guidance and information on admissions topics.
We also have many partnerships and off-campus events:
