The Executive MBA International Business Seminar is designed to introduce UCLA Anderson Executive MBA students to the management theories and practices in China through a series of academic classroom seminar sessions as well as field visit activities. The China residency program has been developed jointly by UCLA Anderson and a partner business school in China. Due to increasing demand and interest by students to learn about the emerging economy of China, the program administration has established partnership with the Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business (CKGSB) in Beijing in 2006 and Fudan School of Management in Shanghai in 2009, Guanghua School of Management in 2010.

The International Business Seminar is a 2-unit required UCLA Anderson EMBA course, Management 470D. Attendance to all program sessions and visits are mandatory for the successful completion of the EMBA program.

Description of the International Studies Programs: The International Studies Programs provide students an opportunity to acquire direct international experience in foreign countries. These intensive one-week classes are held in a variety of countries and are taught by both UCLA Anderson faculty as well as by professors at top universities and local business leaders in the destination country. Augmenting the classroom experience, students visit local companies and significant places of historical and cultural interest.
