In addition to required course work, Anderson’s EMBA requires 12 units of elective courses, a popular aspect of the curriculum. EMBA electives are offered on Thursday evenings of class weekends and during the summer. EMBA students can enroll in relevant classes in other Anderson programs and other UCLA departments and schools — for instance, in entertainment or international relations. All Anderson EMBA students complete an International Residential, a rare opportunity for immersion in business practices abroad.

Earn units through required courses and the hands-on Strategic Management Research project.

A variety of electives are offered in two summer blocks.

International Residential

Our curriculum distinguishes itself because all Anderson EMBA students complete an International Residential, a rare opportunity for immersion in business practices abroad. UCLA Anderson has partnered with international business schools to develop a series of options that help you think globally, and become more sensitive to the business cultures of other nations.

The international residential requirement can be satisfied by completing a global immersion course or exchange course. Global immersion trips typically take place in late March, early September and December. Exchanges typically take place in summer.
